Surestore 10/588 "on/off" bus parameter

Using the LSM to initially configure the Library you can select "on bus" or "off bus" for each installed DLT drive.

What does this mean ? When should a drive be "on bus" or "off bus"

Hello Martin,
looks like "off bus" means that drive is disconnected from the bus - not operable and not visible by host, disconnected from power and ready for online replacement. But I'm not sure...

Re: Surestore 10/588 "on/off" bus parameter

So the parameter "on bus" and "off bus" is used if the library controller is on the same SCSI bus as the drive. In reality it would mean, it is only set on one drive to "on bus" and on all the others to "off bus". As I know was it only important fro win NT systems, but on that I am not 100% sure. I would just use it the old way.
