Surestore 2/20 LTO with 310 Fibre Loop Switch

I have a OpenFiler FC SAN/NAS working in my system. It is connected using Qlogic QLA2340 cards with a 310 Fibre Loop Switch. Works great except I am unable to get the 2/20 Tape Library to communicate through the switch. I can plug in standalone IBM FC Tape drives and they work great. I can plug the 2/20 directly into the QLA2340 cards and then they work but I would like to go through the switch.

Isn't it an internal part of an EVA 5000?

AFAIR it is a 2Gb/s switch (don't know if this can do 1Gb/s), but the library can only do 1Gb/s.
