Swap slot upgrade guide blocks

I have a surestore model 2/20 that was field upgraded to a 4/40. I have recently aquired a model 2/40 as well. I would like to downgrade the 4/40 back to a 2/20 and upgrade 2/40 to a 4/60. Seems possible, but when I downgrade the 4/40 to the 2/20 I need to remove the vertical lift assembly and reinstall the guide blocks. Does anyone have there old guide blocks sitting arround? HP tech took ours when they did the upgrade. If I left the vertical lift assembly in the resulting 2/20 would it still be ok?
