T1000 for windows 3.1 or windows 95
I have recently bought a new T1000 to get some data that was stored years ago and I can not get the drive to show on either system. I did not receive any software with the new drive so I am at a loss. Tried win 2000 and I see it does not support it. Looking for software and insytruction manual as I did not receive anything but the tape drive. Appreciate any info or help.

Hi Roger, It depends which T1000 you have .
Is it internal or external ? So attached to floppy or to printer port?
What application backed-up the data years ago?
Cheers Tim

Re: T1000 for windows 3.1 or windows 95
Roger, have found some links that may help.
Of course this Tape Drive is a Travan device.
http://search.hp.com/query.html?sh=1&charset=UTF-8&la=en&qt=travan
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&objectID=c00000627&jumpid=reg_R1002_USEN
I would assume the back-up could have been done with Colorado Back-up software which was given with the drive originally. But am afraid I do not know where you could find this now .

Re: T1000 for windows 3.1 or windows 95
Tim,thanks for the reply. I was able to get it working on a win98 system. The old engineer at the plant used these to back up dos 3.11 estawork and plc-3 programs. Plant had not updated to newer systems and during a power outage they lost programming. Had to make up a old computer just for this but it works great. I have already transfered the data to more convenient methods. Again thanks for the reply.
