T3000 w/ Pentium 4 1.6 g

I installed the T3000 into a new Pent. 4, but now it does not alway show up in the Device Manager, and will not be recognized, when I need to read from an old Backup Tape..

Any suggestions??

I have removed and re-installed both the Drive as well as the Software many times...

If I restart my computer several times, I might get lucky, and have the drive work maybe 1 in 10 times.

HP is of no service in this regard, as they are no longer interested in Long Time Customers, who have more HP Equipment, presently, than I will have in the future....
