How is it connected? Do you use switches? Which ones? If brocades is it possible to see supportshow output(s)?
Are your hosts proliants with CPQKGPSA? Which driver version and driver parameters?

Re: TAPE DOWN in MSL6030 LTO II with NSR e1200-160

did you set the "Discovery Delay Time Setting" to a value of "30"?
Setting this parameter to a value of "30" ensure that all the configured Tape Drives will be ready prior to the SCSI buses being scanned for devices by the Router

Re: TAPE DOWN in MSL6030 LTO II with NSR e1200-160

Please check which manufacturer's GBIC is installed in slot 5 (where NSR is connected). Try replaing GBIC and cable(there're some suspicious errors on this port...).
In addition please make sure at the NSR side that it's tied to 1GB/s speed.
Parameters look good: ResetTPRLO=2, Topology=1. I do not see EmulexOption in the list, but you can try EmulexOption=0xBA00

This is my mappings configuration; note that the TAPE is Up, but I put the TAPE in UP Reboot the NSR; Always that MSL6030 PowerDown, the Tape is Down in the boot, and if you go to the NSR AND Reboot, the Tape go UP.
