TAR

I have some archived data which was saved with HP UNIX 8.02 TAR. I need to recover some of this data, but we no longer have a UNIX system. We are using Win2000, is there a Windows utility for restoring these files?

Hi,

Never used but you can try if required :
http://gnuwin32.sourceforge.net/packages/tar.htm

OR
I will advise you to try extracting the file on any other unix/linux machine as tar command is supported in almost all unix/linux flavours.

You need Microsoft's Software
SFU ( Service for Unix) it provide some command of unix and NFS share on NT Platform
