TL891DLX to LTO3

hi,

we have DLT Autochanger TL891DLX can we upgrade our DLT Backup Devices from DLT Auto Changer to LTO3 and if yes how...?

No way.....the TL891 is totally unsuitable for ULTRIUM drives of any flavour for many reasons - different size cartridges/ different SCSI bus/no controller or firmware support/ incorrect mounting hardware/etc....etc..etc.

You need to upgrade to one of the MSL series units, or an HP 1/8 autochanger.

well i just want to confirm we need to replace DLT LIBRARY TL891LDX, i just want to confirm if it would be better for us or not...as a library has to be replaced with LTO3 single drive. would you recommend for how long should i have to maintain my old backup cartridges.
