TSL10000 DDS4 20/40GB Autoloader writes only 10Gb capacity

TSL10000 DDS4 20/40GB Autoloader writes only 10Gb capacity

I have a Compaq TSL10000 autoloader with 8 new DDS4 cartridges, new cleanning tape, on a Windows 2000 Server.

It writes only 10Gb of data, wherever the software I use, even using "HP StorageWorks library and tape tools V3.5".
Allways reporting tape is full when reaching aprox 10Gb.

Even without compression, a DDS4 cartridge can save up to 20GB, doesn't it?

What can be the problem?
I think that if heads where dirty, a reading test of that first 10Gb written would be fail, but its ok.

I tried with other tapes, also DDS3 and allways same result.

May be a SCSI misconfiguration?

I attach ticket for more information.
