TSMC not working with Fiber and modular data router

Hi there, i have an PL530 with SAN and an modular data router with a DLT 40/80 891 Library and i am unable to access the library with the TSMC console. There is a message screen who tell me to turn off the Smart Array cards or remove them completely ???
What can i do ???

Hope you are wel, unfortunetly I have some problems with TSMC, but on a Proliant ML370 and of course Fiber Channel.I test it with a 1850R that works fine.
I would like to know , did you use a Smart Array 5300 ?

Okay now I am sure this is a problem due to the smartArray 5300.I tried to use an Adaptec 2944UW and a TL891 directly attach to it and TSMC hangs my NT server.
So I'll try today to work on this problem.Do you have a contact at Compaq technical support ?
Do you ask it a solution ?

I found a solution to my problem and I hope that will be the same solution for you.
Okay so let me explain you
I used a ML370 with a Smart Array 5300 and SmartStart 4.90.When I started TSMC
my server hangs.
So I found a new SSD version on the web site compaq Version 2.22 here is the link

the patche name is sp14439.exe
I installed it and now there is no problem that work fine.So during the upgrade all the scsi driver are updated and the cpqfcalm.sys was updated.

this is my fault, beause i am using windows 2000 in my environement,
but i try to download the newest supportpack for win2k, that is now available
since the 12.04.2001 ... i will let you know whats going on ...

now i have applied the newest support pack for win2k, but there is still this message, that i must tur off or remove the smart array 5300 before using the
TSMC ... i have posted a request on our compaq specialist, and will see what they can do ....

there have been lots of calls over this. Upgraded 5300 Array Driver ( Cpqcissm.sys Version: 4.22.74) on SmartStart Release 5.0.
This should fix your problem
