Dear All,
I wanted some advice on best practice of zoning a server into Fabric for DataProtector Backups to ensure that backups happen over Fibre rather than ethernet. Please see attached document. I want to backup Volumes A & B on the Server to Tape Library over Fibre so how do I go about zoning? Do I have to Zone Storage-TapeLibrary or Zone Server-TapeLibrary? Thanks in advance.

Solution
The server reads from the disks and writes to the tape - so you need to zone the server and the tape together (Server-TapeLibrary). Never put disks and tapes in the same zone.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
