Tape size for Compaq DLT VS 40/80

this may be a stupid question, but I can't find a definate answer. Can I use larger tapes in this drive. If so what what be a good tape?

VS80 only support DLTIV tapes, no other so 40 GByte is the maximum native capacity

Brad,

There is no DLT upgrade info from HP side, but Quantum, says DLT's upgrade that will nearly triple the tape's current storage capacity from 40GB to 110GB.

If I well understand the request, the question is if we can put a larger tape in this drive, not if we can read that tape with a higher capacity drive

I think that covers it... i wanted to be able to use a bigger media in our current drive, but that doesnt appear to be possible, so we will have to upgrade our drive. Thanks for the help.
