Tape stuck
We have a surestore dlt 80 that seems to have eaten a tape. Does not rel4ease and all lights on right side flashing. Any hope short of a service call???

3 options: (1)If it is still in warranty, call tech support and get it exchanged. (2) call tech support and have them walk you through manual removal ( 1-800 HPINVENT) at the voice prompt say "DLT" (3) This doc can help.

The method I use on DAT tapes is to
power off the drive. HOLD the ecject button down and power on the drive. Works most time.
