The drive assessment test once more
Helo,
i would ask you for help. I am confused when I interpret tests of my hp 1760 lto 4 scsi drive.
On one side the test says drive is ok on the other test does not recommend using the drie anymore.
What should i believe? The drive assessment test fails always.
Take a look on the logs please.

Re: The drive assessment test once more
If you get the "Drive no longer recommended for use" message then that is just what it says!
Something has gone wrong with either the internal electronics or more likely the read / write heads causing the Tapetools tests to fail.
Phone HP Support and give them the drive serial number.
It might still be under warranty, in which case you should get a replacement.
Thanks
Mark...
