Throughput
Hello,
i have a compaq proliant ML370 G2 & 3 compaq DLT 8000 tape drives attached.
The controller is an Ultra Wide SCSI 3 Controller with 16 bits (Wide) bus width.
The 3 tape drives are 40/80 GB DLT drives (Firmware Rev: 0250)
I have Arcserve 2000 SP3 installed & have the tape units setup as RAID 0.
The throughput is running at apporx 130Mb/Min when backing up the local server to the tape drives.
If i take a tape drive out of the RAID (leaving just two) the throughput goes up to approx 600 Mb/Min.
Has anyone come across this before?
Thx.
Alan.
