Timeout while cataloging, Ultrium 215i
I'm trying to do a restore from tape. The drive is an Ultrium 215i, it's on it's own SCSI card, the cabling and termination are ok but I keep getting this error:-
Event ID 9 Device adpu160m
The device \Device\Scsi\adpu160m did not respond within the timeout period.
I have changeed the default time period from 60 to 180 in the registry.
I am using NTbackup on Windows 2000 on a Dell Poweredge 2600 server.

Re: Timeout while cataloging, Ultrium 215i
Robert,
try updating drive's firmware using HP LTT http://www.hp.com/cposupport/information_storage/support_doc/lpg50128.html . Replace SCSI card to see if it will help http://www.hp.com/cposupport/information_storage/support_doc/lpg50063.html
