Ultrium 230: all LEDs on, won't eject tape
Our Ultrium 230 drive is failing with all LEDs on solidly. The LEDs come on immediately when the power is turned on. Reset has no effect, and the tape in the drive won't eject. Documentation seems to suggest that all four LEDs on = dead drive; true?

Re: Ultrium 230: all LEDs on, won't eject tape
You have already reseted the Lib but can not fix?
Which backup software do you use for backup?
I think may be hardware error! Call to HP to get support.
Best and regard,
Jimkery

I propose you power on / off the drive and you reboot the server.
If this doesn't help the drive is defective
