Ultrium 230 performance issue on ARCServe Version 11
I have a new HP Ultrium 230 external tape drive connected to a Ultra160 SCSI adaptor on a brand new Server (non-HP). The server is running Windows 2000 Server (SP4) and Brightstor ARCServe version 11. The backup speed is quite slow. Even when I backup the local hard disk of the server I took near 4 hours to backup just 24GB data. Any suggestion?

Re: Ultrium 230 performance issue on ARCServe Version 11
try with new drivers for HBA,
be sure to have last Arcserve drivers for the Ultrium, or try with HP one
you can use L&TT to diagnose the problem, the "System performance" test and the "Device Performance" test will help you to identify the problem

Any info in the Event Viewer?
You can put the Device Support Update 4 QO57427 - http://supportconnect.ca.com/sc/redir.jsp?reqPage=search&searchID=QO57427 and try again (remember de prerequisite QO53978).
