Ultrium 232 stuck tape

I have a cartridge stuck in the drive that cannot be removed using the normal method of holding the eject button for 10 seconds. I notice that several other threads have also experienced this problem but none of the solutions has been printed. Can anyone help?
Thanks,
Dave

Re: Ultrium 232 stuck tape

I have the same problem with the tape drive.

The tape is stuck. Drive LED (orange) blinks. And Ready LED (yellow) is continuously on.

Could someone please advice on how to get the tape out of the drive?

Got the same prob with an Ultium1 Tape-Drive (C7369-00821) in a Surestore-Library.
Is there a solution to eject the tape manually?
Thanks

Re: Ultrium 232 stuck tape

You can give it a shoot, by installing LTT (if device is HP) then run the I/O Scan and nt miniport and then after, do the firmware update (this will force by software to revome the tape). cheers
