Ultrium 448
Hi, we have an Ultrium 448 connected to an Adaptec 29160 SCSI host on a Windows 2000 SP4 Dell server. It replaced an HP DLT1 drive which worked fine using the same cable.
The Ultrium tape drive is recognised by the SCSI select utility and appears in Windows device manager. However, it is highlighted yellow and reports error 31, the driver could not be loaded. The latest 448 driver and Adaptec 29160 drivers I could find have been downloaded but to no avail.
The 448 drive is within the rack mount version if this helps.
Any ideas anyone?
Mike

This are the latest drivers, are those the ones you use?
HP StorageWorks Tape Driver Installer
Version: 2.4 (10 Apr 2007)
Also what backup software do you use?
Depending of the software you should be using the ISV drivers as well.
