Yep, I had those 129's as well. My situation it was something in hardware - that's my advice... open a case with HP support. I don't think Symantec/Veritas is gonna be the cause of the problem.

Re: Ultrium 920 SAS and Sc44GE HBA

Error code 11 is the generic "LSI_SAS" error code and doesn't say much. You need to post the word format event data so we can get a better idea of what is going on. The event code 129 along with it just means that the OS sent a reset and is an after effect.

I've seen quite a few of these errors and the vast majority of them have been software/firmware/configuration problems with just a couple due to bad cables. I have never seen a bad drive or HBA replaced for these symptoms.

It is really important that everything be up to date. The 920 SAS drive must be at C25W. The HBA should be at 1.23.43.

You must have a registry entry for BusyRetryCount of at least 75. See:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/932755

You should have a registry entry is the hplto.sys for AutoRun=0. You should have a registry entry in the hpuln32 or hpuln64 with AutoRun=0 if the drive is in an HP tape library.
