After researching, the engineering team said they are not aware of any known issues for this. They requested to have a drive support ticket to review. Rather than using the forum to do that, I've asked them to work through the open support case you have. Hopefully they can contact the case owner and have them open a "tier 3" elevation, but you may also want to tell the case onwner that division engineering would like the case elevated to "tier 3".
