Re: Ultrium Library Error

It is essential to mention the system type - there are so many.

"Drive Firmware Revision Levels are Inconsistent "

Consider an firmware upgrade using LTT - http://www.hp.com/support/tapetools

"Drive(s) not available on Fibre Channel "

Is the box using a NSR? Check cabling and mapping!

Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: Ultrium Library Error

When you run L&TT it should offer to download the latest firmware for all of the devices it finds as long as the system where you are running it has internet access.

The "Drives not available on Fibre Channel" message means that at least one of the drives did not connect to the interface controller which is similar to the old NSR's but isn't an NSR in that library. When that happens you may not be able to access the drive with L&TT unless you connect directly to the SCSI port on the drive.

The web interface can download the firmware to the drives once you get the latest firmware.
