Ultrium tape drive compatilability 200gb vs400gb

We have a Ultrium arrary 200gb and my question is are the Ultrium 400gb tapes compatiable

no.

The LTO-2 (Ultrium-2 or 460) can use the LTO-1 (Ultrium-1 or 215/230) tapes, but the LTO-1 drives cannot use the higher-capacity tapes. This is the case because the technology required to use LTO-2 tapes had not been developed when LTO-1 drives were designed.
