Unable to open doors
We are running an MSL5026SL with 2 SDLT drives. It is connected to a Windows2000 cluster via fibre channel. We are using backup exec v8.6. The problem is that we are unable to open the doors on the autoloader and receive the following error on the MSL5026 display:
"Host has prevented magazine removal"
I have tried running an unlock job on backup exec but it keeps failing.
Any help gratefully received.

Re: Unable to open doors
At the bottom of the doors there are 2 very small holes. You can straighten out a paper clip & push it in the hole & the door will open. I found this out on a Compaq training course & it is the emergency procedure to open the doors in the event of system failure. As you can see, the thumbscrews that hold the unit in the rack are behind the doors, which means if the units power unit fails, you cant remove it from the rack. Good luck
