Updated firmware on autoloader 1/8 g2, backup now VERY slow

Seems to be a co-incidence, but after updating the firmware to v3.00, the backup now runs at 118mb/sec. It was at 3500mb/sec.

Any suggestions?

Is it possible to downgrade the firmware without any problems?

Hello,

Yes it is possible but you will have to log a call with tech support.

As far as suggestions I don't belive the firmware affected your performance, but here is a nice document to check:

http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?objectID=lpg50460

I would start with downloading HP L&TT (www.hp.com/support/lttdownload) and running a Device Performance Test. This will read and write from memory to the drive leaving (almost) all the usual bottlenecks aside, and will tell you if the unit is working as it should. It is normal to get results slightly slower than the ones showing on the specs.
