Is this a standalone drive, or a library?
If it's in a library, is it connected through a SAN, or direct attach SCSI?
If all other programs accessing the drive were stopped, could you grab the EventLog.ltt file from the logs sub-directory under the LTT install directory, and email it to ltt_team@hp.com? They can take a look to see what might be causing the problem.

Ultrium 460 is connect a server rp7405 for SCSI.
This is a standalone drive
I can make back up but I cannot update firmware.

SolutionThanks for sending in the event log. The eventlog is full of the "Device is busy and unable to respond" errors. I have not seen that particular issue before.
What application or utility are you using for backups?
What OS version are you on?
Can you run Support Tools Manager and collect the logtool logs for the drive?
