Using DAT72 USb with Data Protector Express
Hi,
I have two hard disks on one PC running with Windows XP professional.
I took Backup of about 30G data on one Cartridge from D drive. Used Selective backup wizard
I took Backup of about 25G from E drive on Another cartridge. Used Selective Backup Wizard.
I can use the 2nd cartridge to restore. When ever I insert the first cartridge I am unable to browse through the File List. I tried Identify Media,Import Media Wizard etc. Nothing works. Any help?
Hope hp will look into improving user experience of using this software.

Re: Using DAT72 USb with Data Protector Express
The main tool to test tape drives is HP Library and Tape Tools. Try to use it to diagnose the tape drive.
This is the link to HP Library and Tape Tools:
www.hp.com/support/tapetools
The first point would be to make sure the cartridge is good or damaged since the tape drive is backing up and restoring from one of the cartridges.
Why don`t you take the time to backup the same data in both cartridges cartridges just to make sure of the state of the cartridge?

If the flop doesn't fit... go allin!!!
