Hi,
Is it possible to use SDLT tapes 110.120 GB in a DLT 40/80 tape drive?

I don't think you can read/write a SDLT tape in a DLT40/80 drive.
On the other hand, it is backward read compatible and can READ DLT type IV

No, don't even try to put an SDLT tape in a DLT drive. Worst case, you will get the tape jammed into the drive. They use different tape leader mechanisms (a loop for the DLT, and a leader pin for the SDLT). You may also drop the leader in your DLT drive making it unusable.
