Utilize DAT/DDS for Digital Voice Recording
Does anyone know if a driver or API exists to utilize the existing DDS storage devices for use in a Digital Voice Recording System for computer telephony solutions?
Please advise

Re: Utilize DAT/DDS for Digital Voice Recording
Muhanned,
Yes, these are commercial software packages that write voice-data to tape. Be very carefull though, writing small chunks of data at the time is going to put extreme wear on your drive and tapes. Don't be too surprised when your drives and tapes wear down fast. This is not a limitation of HP but a limitation of the technology.
You might consider 'staging' data to larger chunks and then write them to tape.
best regards,
-Cal.
