VSS Catastrophic failure error

Hello!

We have an HP PROLIANT DL380 G4 storage server and we use an HP STORAGEWORKS LTO-4 ULTRIUM as backup device. The software is SYMANTEC BACKUP EXEC 11d for servers and recently we get the following errors.

Event ID:12289

Volume Shadow Copy Service Error: Unexpected error WaitForMultipleObjects(1,0003E7A8,1,120000)== 0x00000102. hr = 0x8000ffff.

and

Event ID:7001

VssAdmin: Unable to create a shadow copy: Catastrophic failure
Command-line: "C:\windows\system32\vssadmin.exe Create Shadow/ AutoRetry=5 /For=\\?\Volume{93776545-8c72-11dd-96c5-001279a52c15}\".

We have already applied all microsoft windows updates and hotfixes that are relevant to vss problems.

Any ideas what might have caused this problem?
