Veritas 9.0
We have a set of (5) backup tapes labled Mon-Fri. The first time the tape is used Veritas allocates the media with a volume lable and places it in Media Set 1. the next time the tape is placed in the drive it ejects and says it can't overwright allocated media. Even though when we created the backup job we told it to Overwright. also when you check the properties in Media Set 1 it says to make the media overightable to choose "None" but that option is not available in the drop down menu.
If we move the five tapes from Media Set 1 to Scratch Media it will let us overwright the tape?
We are not having this problem with Veritas 8.6
It only occurrs with Veritas 9.0.
Any Ideas?
