Win 2000 and Colorado 8GB ext
Hello All:
After reviewing many of the posts and the HP info - I am still confused. Is there software and drivers to have my 8gb Colorado EXTERNAL drive (SCSI Parellel Port) work with Windows 2000 Pro.
Thanks for any replies!

Yes.
Your external won't function correctly with the native backup applet included with Win2000.
However, a combination of drivers and software will work okay:

Re: Win 2000 and Colorado 8GB ext
My DDS3 tape was found and drivers loaded on XP and Win2K but you do need some other software to do a back-up with. I use a Veritas Back-up Exec package and it works fine. The only problem I have is that it won't do compression with my drive for some reason or other. My DDS3 is hardware set for compression yet I only get 12GB on one 125M tape and I should get 24GB. Haven't dug into that one very far though.
