Write Media Error
I have just upgraded from a compaq 1600 running netware 5, arcserveIT 6.6 and a single drive in TL881 to a Proliant 380 plus extra drive in library. Since extra drive added backup no longer works, I get E1016 "write media error" and "failed to position media". The throughput when job starts begins at approx 30,000kb/mins and plummets to 700 kb/mins then job dies. Please help, signed, desperate of Edinburgh.

Re: Write Media Error
where do you have this library (TL881...2 drive) connected on the DL380....the embedded controller on the back of the server....or an optional controller in a PCI slot....is this an HVD library or a SE? what is the serial number of the library...do you have the optional )int array controller module installed?....I would need to know the answers to these questions to reall be able to help you....
