Write Protected error

I am using a 35/70 DLT storage device in our Proliant 3000

server. When ever I am inserting a tape media ( either balnk

or used) LED for write protected indication turning ON although

write protected error message is appearing while performing

NTbackup.

Run the Storageworks - L&TT, the Sticket will give you valid informtions about your Soft- and Hardware and path conections and than see whats happend with the drive. Some of the infos are very usefull.

Re: Write Protected error

I figured out my problem. I opened the drive up and found a part at the front right (as you look at the drive) had come loose. I snapped it back into place and it fixed the problem.
