about One Button Diaster Recovery(OBDR) with tapeware 7.0 on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 3.0
Hello there,
We have issue for OBDR on Red Hat Enterprise linux 3.0
The server machine is Proliant ML370
Tape is ULTRIUM 460
OS is Red hat enterprise 3.0
On that machine we installed the tapeware 7.0
we are testing OBDR disaster recovery function. The following is what we did
1. backup full system to tape with write all tape option by tapeware software
2. delete /boot directory
then did the following procedure to restore all system
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&objectID=c00557268&jumpid=reg_R1002_USEN
and
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&objectID=c00557256&jumpid=reg_R1002_USEN
in both procedures , when I select recover whole system. The system wait about 10 seconds, then reboot into
GRUB environment. Seems the system did not spend ant time on restoring any data from tape to disk.
Anybody can shed some light on it, Please?
thanks in advance
Lionel
