c1502a dds tape eject
I have encountered an old c1502a DDS tape station with a tape stuck inside. When pressing the button the tape moves but doesn't eject. This happens if I press shortly as well as if I press and hold. How do I force-eject the tape on C1502a.

Re: c1502a dds tape eject
Hi,
try to power cycle, it sometimes helps.
Consider a loose label too and a jammed tape.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: c1502a dds tape eject
I have already tried to power-cycle the tape station, opened the covers to see if it was physically stuck (i.e. labels etc.). The drive seems to access the tape (so it's not jammed either) but simply doesn't eject it. I also tried to locate any force-eject button which you find on some other drives but I failed to do so. Help...

Re: c1502a dds tape eject
you can try pressing the eject bottom for 45 second and then release, listen if the drive do some tape motion and wait up to 10 minutes, try this twice.
If this failed, try manually removing the media from the drive, this is old tape drive, i was looking for the correct one, however i found some similar, hope this link will be helpful in you situation..
