cannot install atdd driver correctly on HPUX 11
After install atdd driver and rebuild kernel and restart machine,
I have in ioscan -fnC tape entry like this:
тАж
tape 10 0/10/0/0.5.2.255.0.0.0 atdd CLAIMED DEVICE IBM ULTRIUM-TD2
тАж
but I donтАЩt have patch to device file just nothing.
Maybe somebody have this problem before, a wont backup this server to L180 tape library from data protector, so first of all I must install tape driver correctly.
Thanks a lot,
BR,
MM

Re: cannot install atdd driver correctly on HPUX 11
Michal,
Here is a thread on ATDD drivers that might interest you.
http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=2707
Also, here are my notes from when I installed it
Install the ATDD tape drivers
swinstall ├в s atdd.3.5.0.22.bin
When the swinstall command runs, you are prompted with the question,
Would you like to activate the Medium Changer support by ACDD (Y/N)?
answer N to allow the HP native changer driver to configure these Medium Changer devices.
