change device name MSL6000 on VMS

hi, i was wondering how u could manipulate the device name of the $2$GGAn and the $2$MGAn.

we have tried several modifications in the NSR but it didn't make any differance.

Robin,

VMS assigns the unit numbers for NSR connected tape drives and robots. You would use SYSMAN IO commands or edit SYS$SYSTEM:SYS$DEVICES.DAT to add a new device or change the unit numbers. See the "Guidelines for OpenVMS Cluster Configurations" manual for more information.
