cleaning my HP Surestore E 818 dlt autoloader

hi there,

My Omniback II backups all failed last night, so I went to check the autoloader, on the display it was asking for the cleaning tape.

How do I munually select the cleaning tape, so it performs the operation?!

Hi,

If the 818 is similar to the 718 you only need to load a cleaning tape in the magazine and then load the tape in the drive with the front panel buttons/menus and the drive should be cleaned. If you want you can configure OmniBack to perform automatic cleaning.
