Is this hardware compatible with W2k ?

You mean is Windows 2000 compatible with our hardware 8-)

I don't believe there is a native driver in there for it and the backup application won't function with it.

The last iteration of colorado backup wasn't fully tested with the T1000, but it should work okay although it's not 100% certain.
Apart from that, it will require a search for an older backup application.
