Is there any other command to check the quality of a medium?
I find out that omnimm -list_pool ESC_HTL_htlsgsap_dev2 is a bit strange because the medium label will be cut off if the label is too long. So this is a bit tough for scripting

Solution
Get LTT and run the Media validation Test
http://www.hp.com/support/tapetools
Install it, select your tape drive, run the Media Validation Test
