dds4 tape running out of space??
I am currently backing up 15GB of data onto a SureStore DAT40 with DDS4 20/40GB tapes.
However, after writing 14GB of data, the tape drive will spit the tape out as if the tape was full.
I dont understand why I cant write 15Gb to a 20GB native tape. Is there a problem with the drive itself?
Any help would be much appreciated!
Cheers,
Cameron

Re: dds4 tape running out of space??
Cameron,
it could be a drive or a tape. To check drive's health use LTT http://h18006.www1.hp.com/products/storageworks/ltt/index.html (generate and look into support ticket to see any its recommendations) and if it will not show any problems then the next suspicious part is a tape. Try new just unpacked tape
