driver for c1533a?

Moro!

What means this kind of error message:

"A tape device has been detected, and the tape driver started. However the tape device is not responding. Check...."

I have NT 4.0 workstation. Do I need drivers?
If so, where I can find it?

THANKS!!!

hi
this error can be found running NTBackup, when you have installed some kind of software backup, Usualy these BU SW starts some services that take the ownership of the tape, then other software cannot communicate with him.
try to go in control pannel >> services and stop or disable the BU SW services

Markku,

Down load the tapediag.exe for SCSI drives. Check the hardware. You should be able detect the tape drive. You might also need to load the driver for your SCSI card. The drivers should be built in NT40 WS.
