Re: drivers for Lto Ultium

Hi,

Download the Library and Tape Tool Firmware bundle, it contains drivers both for the library and the Tape drives.

Re: drivers for Lto Ultium

The LTT firmware bundle only has firmware.

There are drivers available for windows for the hp ultrium tape drives.

You may need to look under the ultrium drive instead of the library.

Here's a link:

Ok, driver for tape library installed, but Data Drive not found.
Error of "HP Library & Tape Tools":
Drive with serial number 'IE72G00932' could not be found

Does the drive show up in windows device manager?

If it does, which OS are you using? If you have RSM enabled (2K, 2K3, XP), then it will have the tape drive opened and LTT cannot access it through NT miniport.

You should shut down RSM before running LTT if that is the case.

If the drive is not shown in device manager, how do you have the drive cabled up? Is the library and drive on different busses?

If you want, post the EventLog.ltt file from the logs folder of LTT, and I can see what devices were discovered.

Re: drivers for Lto Ultium

1. Yes, it's HP Ultrium Tape drive
2. Os: W2K, (RSM - service?)

Other place of problem:
I can add device in the Data Protector, after that I add drive, but SCSI address of data drive not resolve. Log at attachment.

Thanks!

Re: drivers for Lto Ultium

You're using the ASPI driver, so that should see the device regardless of driver status or RSM. The ASPI driver is a back door to the SCSI HBAs.

The scan only shows the library at SCSI address zero. No drive.

How is the library cabled? What SCSI address is the drive set at?
