esl712e sees too many tape drives

Hi,

We had an issue with our ESL712e library containing 20 tape drives.
A technician replaced the Y-axis motor because it was faulty.

Since then the tape lib sees duplicate drives, 32 instead of 20.

We rebooted, restorted the configuration etc but to no avail.

Kindly advise what we could test.

Forgot to mention that the Y-axis motor was replaced due to failure indication in the LTT Ticket that was generated.

The duplicate drives share same serial numbers as well...

did you tried to stop the master backup server ????

i would recommend to open HW call on HP support.

Could be the database got corrupted, so the library see (remember) two robots.
Probably a restore to default and reconfig will solve the issue, or call HP they have a bundle that remove duplicated drives

We did a diagnostics again on the front panel. It indicated Y-axis failure again. I guess it wasn't calibrated right. They are going to replace it with another motor today. I'll keep you informed.
