finding out the drive number in a MSL6060 library.
Hi
My HP-UX box is attached to a FC switch (Brocade) where MSL6060 library is also connected.
MSL6060 has 4 HP Ultrium-2 drives.
Yesterday HP people replaced a drive but I suspect they replaced the wrong one -- I think "my" DRIVE 3 is not "his" DRIVE 3.
HP OmniBack-II reports DRIVE 3 is /dev/rmt/13. ioscan command shows the hardware path of this device file. I use STM to get info about this hardware path... the LUN displayed is 3.
According to MSL6060 manuals, drive numbering starts from left to right and top to bottom (front view).
Between Brocade FC switch and drives there is Network Storage router that provides the FC link.
May this router be configured to re-assing Logical Unit numbers ?
How can I find out the relationships ?
I cannot be in front of the library.

Re: finding out the drive number in a MSL6060 library.
The NSR have to be checked, there is maps created that will present to the srvers the scsi devices as LUN (Logical Units).
the maps associate scsi adresses to the LUN
the scsi adress is comfigured on the library and have nothing to do with LUN adress.
So check the scsi adress on the library front pannel or throught the remote control card, then chek the NSR map throught the NSR remote control.
