Re: how to upgrade hp data protector express3.10 to 3.50
Upgrading to version 3.5 is very simple.
First, download the version 3.5 upgrade file from http://hp.com/go/dataprotectorexpress. Choose the "Service Packs and Patches" option from the right-hand column of the web page. From there you can choose your operating system and then download the appropriate upgrade file.
Next, follow the instructions that come with the download to execute the upgrade program on your computer. When the setup program starts, make sure you choose the "Upgrade" option, not the "Install" option.
When the upgrade is complete you will be ready to go with Version 3.5. Your existing catalog will be converted and all of your existing jobs will run fine. Your existing backup tapes will still be readable.
