I just upgraded to windows xp with a new computer. Unfortunaltely it looks like nop driver is available specifically for xp, can another drive (windows nt) work? Has anyone done so?

Re: hpt 8gb travan external tape drive
The problem is that the external colorados rely on a parallel port driver that is made by these guys:
http://www.scmmicro.com
Their last update is that they they are due the first quarter of 2002 (which is nearly up).
However, the Windows 2000 driver does actually do the job. I tried it and it _seems_ to be okay but we (as in HP) don't really support it

Apologies for the long link - the website is pretty poor for this sort of thing.
cheers,
John
