msl 4048 reset admin password

Hi,

we recently buyed a MSL 4048. When asked, whe configured the admin password, as default, 00000000. Now we need access again to the library magazine, and when we put the admin password whe have a "incorrect password" message. So we need now to reset this passord, if it is possible. I've read in some posts that whe have to contact HP tech support to get a temporary passowrd good for 1 hour and this will allow us to reset the password.
Is this the only way? And if so, how can I contact this tech support in Spain?

Provide to the team the current date and time in the MSL and they can generate a password valid within the hour.

Next option (from manual):

Use the Conï¬ guration: Restore defaults page to restore the conï¬ guration to the factory defaults or to reset
the administrator password to null. The device will perform an inventory after the defaults are restored.

Thank you for your sppedy response. I tryed to restore defaults, but it asks for admin password, which we don't have. So I'm going to try to call tech support.

After reset to factory defaults, you **must** set a new password on the front panel!

functions in the RMI until you set an administrator password through the OCP . To change the

Thank you for all. Finally I phoned the tech support and they provided me a one hour valid password, so we could change the admin password.
